Forty five days and counting!

I am shocked... SHOCKED at the number of people who have tried to convince me to dye my hair dark brown before I go to Nepal. They seem to think it will lessen my chances of being kidnapped because I will stand out less. Somehow, I doubt this is this case. I mean, how many people do you hear of who get kidnapped in Nepal?? It's not like I'm going to Colombia, where that sort of thing happens all the time.

So, no, I will not be dyeing my hair brown. In fact, I plan to visit Donnie (www.donniehair.com) to ensure that I look like a freshly minted copper penny before I hope the plane to Tokyo. I think I might actually enjoy the attention that being a blue-eyed redhead might get me over there.

Or they might think I am some sort of demon. Oh well.

I think I am nearly ready for this... all of my hotel reservations are made. I am going to create a packing spreadsheet to determine what goes where - backpack, shoulder bag or rolling duffel (because I am a dork like that). I am going to learn to use Angela's trekking poles. I am going to three-a-weeks with Jarrad as of today (which should be super fun, considering how sore I am from Saturday).
